Transfer Window REACTION: All the latest news after a stunning 12 weeks of transfers draws to an epic close
After an astonishing 12 weeks, the summer transfer window has now officially come to a close.
The future of England captain Harry Kane was a storyline that dominated much of the window, but Daniel Levy and Tottenham stayed strong as they held onto their talisman.
But while Kane was a major talking point, his stay was perhaps dwarfed by the stunning bombshells that Lionel Messi joined PSG from Barcelona and Cristiano Ronaldo completed a stunning return to Manchester United.
Meanwhile, the British transfer record was smashed as Manchester City shelled out £100million for Jack Grealish, while Chelsea also brought back a former forward in Romelu Lukaku, for the measly sum of £98m.
Sportsmail will keep you up-to-date with all the latest reaction below.

Newly-promoted Premier League club Forest will have an option to buy one-cap England international Henderson (left) for £20million at the end of the loan. Meanwhile Bachmann (right) has been at Vicarage Road since 2017 and played 23 Championship games when the Hornets won promotion to the Premier League in 2020-21. The Belgian striker (pictured) joined the Premier League side from Inter Milan for a club-record £97.5million last summer but endured an underwhelming season, midway through angering the club by telling Sky Sports Italia he was keen on a return to Inter. And after Lukaku sealed a loan move back to the Italian giants, pundit McCoist told Talksport he could see ‘no way back’ for the 29-year-old at Chelsea. He said: ‘I think he’s got to go now, I was hoping there would be a way back for him. I think the interview is what’s done him in, to be honest with you. I hoped he would’ve stayed and fought for his place and won the fans over and won Thomas Tuchel over with his performances and goals.’

Newcastle could have to sell prized-asset Allan Saint-Maximin in a bid to raise funds and offset their spending – with Magpies struggling to offer the frustrated Frenchman a greater wage, leaving Premier League rivals on alert
The French winger had been identified by Newcastle as one of several players they could sell this summer to raise funds for boss Eddie Howe (inset) and offset their spending. Newcastle wanted over £40million for the fan-favourite and, while other clubs such as Tottenham and Chelsea were alerted, that valuation was deemed too high. However, in the process of clubs sounding out his availability, Saint-Maximin’s (main) head is understood to have been turned by the greater salaries that could be on offer. Newcastle are aware of the 25-year-old’s growing frustration but are restricted by the wage structure they have put in place.

Spurs are looking to make Winks’ (main) exit a permanent one, given how he only has two years left to run on his current contract. Winks has reportedly told to find a new club this summer after falling down the pecking order under Antonio Conte. Frank Lampard (left inset) is on the hunt for a midfielder this summer and is said to have given the green light to sanction a move for Winks, having lost Fabian Delph (bottom right inset) at the end of his contract and Donny van de Beek (top right inset) returning to Old Trafford at the end of his loan spell. Winks made 19 Premier League appearances for Tottenham last season, starting just nine of them and his chances are set to be limited further following the arrival of Yves Bissouma.

The Derby County star (pictured), 18, broke into Wayne Rooney’s Championship side last season, playing 15 matches in all competitions and scoring once, and impressed despite their relegation, largely brought about due to the Rams’ 21-point deduction. And football journalist Fabrizio Romano has stated promising winger Ebiowei has completed a medical with Palace and is set to sign a five-year contract keeping him in south London until 2027. Romano tweeted: ‘English talent Malcolm Ebiowei won’t join Manchester United. He’s set to sign his contract with Crystal Palace after medicals completed this week, it’s a done deal. #CPFC.
